Resumen

This is a research about the relationship of music and art from the point of view of conceptualism that validates the existence of a conceptual sound art and a conceptual music withaesthetic characteristics drawn away from cochlear perception, in order to focus in the field of ideas. With backgrounds placed, Ianalyze the development of thesefields in occident (Europe and USA) starting from the XX Century vanguards until the 60's, in order to make a cartography of the history of sonic conceptualism in Latin America since the50's,up to the present time, redefining, reevaluatingand contrasting the contributions that have been made in the continent, with a focus centered in the political and socialrealm, but without forgetting the different influences of the aesthetic western hegemonies in our countries.
