Abstract

In this article I have tried to present the reasons which drive me to investigate in the feminization processes of teaching, analyse the contexts where my interests are connected and think about some results obtained. After the publication of “Primeras Maestras”, my interest focused in the analysis of the identities and social representations of women teachers through different generations and how they had encouraged the social changes carried out in the XX century. In this sense, I believe that it is important to explain the reasons of this interest and the relevance to analyse the social identities in order to understand the meaning they give to key moments of their work. For this, I have followed the arguments from my research trajectory and I tried to reflect some of the interests and results achieved.
