This study compared several selection of difficulty strate-gies in self-adapted testing. An ascendant but non linear tendency is observed. The differents strategies (flexible, failure intolerant, inflexible and failure tolerant) differed whit regard to ability, standard error, number of item passed and testing time. A moderated positive linear relation between ability, difficulty of previous item and diffi-culty level was obtained.References
