The expression «valenciana prosa» , used from the XVth century onwards by writers like Roís de Corella, Miquel Peres, Bernardí de Vallmanya, and others, has been interpreted in different and sometimes contradictory ways (Rubió i Lluch, Nicolau d'Olwer, Riquer, Fuster, Coromines, etc). The author of this article considers it to be a mere way of outlining the fact that a given text was written in «lengua valenciana», this is to say in the modality of the Catalan Language used in Valencia, and that does not therefore relate to any specific literary style.Downloads
