El museo ¿Sin museo?: El arte digital en el museo virtual. Nuevos recursos para la Educación Artística

Resumen: Con la llegada de las Nuevas Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación nuestra vida ha dado un giro radical. Esta situación ha alcanzado a la institución museística, que ya no es la institución elitista que fue. Hoy en día se ha abierto a la sociedad y ha desarrollado una impresionante labor para “dialogar” con ella en un lenguaje contemporáneo y directo. El propósito principal de este artículo es ofrecer una amplia visión de la aplicación de las TICs en los museos, haciendo especial hincapié en los museos virtuales de arte digital.

Abstract: With the arrival of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), our life has taken a radical turn. This situation has reached the museums, which are no longer the elitist institutions they used to be in the past. Nowadays, museums have opened to society, and have developed great efforts to “dialogue” with it in a contemporary and direct language. The main purpose of this article is to provide a broad overview of the application of ICT in museums, with special emphasis on virtual museums of digital art.
