Abstract

This article aims to analize and comment a collection of 16 letters that are part of the Sicilian humanist Cataldo Parisio Siculo’s work Epistole et Orationes quedam Cataldi Siculi. These letters are included in the first part of this book, printed on 21 February 1500 in Lisbon (Portugal). The selection criteria about these texts was their relation with Sicily, both from the thematic point of view and from the recipients’ common origin

Author Biography

Francesca D'Angelo

Francesca D'Angelo ha conseguito una laurea triennale in lettere classiche (L-10) presso l'Università di Roma La Sapienza con una votazione di 110/110 cum laude (27/09/2016). Successivamente, presso lo stesso ateneo, ha intrapreso un percorso di studi in Filologia, Letterature e Storia del mondo antico (LM-15) conseguendo la laurea magistrale il 09/07/2018 con votazione 110/110 cum laude. Nel corso dello stesso anno accademico ha portato felicemente a termine il "percorso d'eccellenza", indetto dal dipartimento per gli studenti meritevoli. A partire dal dicembre 2018 inizia a frequentare il Master di II livello LCS Insegnare Lingua e Cultura italiana a stranieri presso la Scuola IaD dell'università degli Studi di Roma Tor Vergata: il master si è concluso il 13/07/2019 con votazione di 98/110. Da novembre 2019 è PhD researcher student in Artes y Humanidades presso Universidad de Cádiz (Andalucía, Spagna) per il Departamento de Filología Clásica con un progetto di ricerca sull'epistolario dell'umanista Cataldo Siculo. Da settembre 2020 è borsista FPI presso lo stesso dipartimento.
