Abstract

Daily photo projects are contemporary photographic practises whose authors take a daily self-portrait with a digital camera until the day they dye. Pictures are assembled in videos that concentrate their lifetime in minutes. Then, a whole life is visualized in a sequence of instants, of snapshots. These works in progress display a new sight to the topic of vanitas and self-portrait because they are proper allegories of life, especially because of the presence of death at the end of them. The montage transforms these projects in «vanitas in motion» because the sequence of instants shows the getting old process.
