Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The petition has not been previously published, nor has it been submitted to another journal (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the editor).
  • The file sent is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect format.
  • Web addresses have been added for reference where possible.
  • The text has single line spacing; font size is 12 points; italics are used instead of underlining (except for URL addresses); and all the illustrations, figures and tables are within the text in the place that corresponds to them and not at the end of the whole.
  • The text complies with the bibliographic and style requirements indicated in the Rules for authors , which can be found in About the magazine.
  • If you are submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, you have to make sure that the instructions in Ensuring a blind review) have been followed.

Author Guidelines

ITAMAR accepts collaborations in the form of original and unpublished research articles, as well as annotated creative works and reviews not previously published, on books or academic events.

Management arbitrates their contributions through both internal and external evaluation. The deadline for receipt is May 10. The editorial committee makes a pre-selection and communicates its results to the authors. The result of the internal and external arbitration is communicated to the authors within a period of two months, from its reception. If an evaluator makes suggestions to the author, the author will have 30 days to apply the requested changes.

PRESENTATION OF ORIGINALS

  1. Works will be accepted in Spanish, French, English, Italian, Catalan and Portuguese.
  2. The works, written with font size no less than 12 points (10 for footnotes), single line spacing, will not exceed -once printed- twenty DIN A4 size pages, on one side only. Global margins 2.5 to 3 cm. They must be submitted on diskette or CD-Rom or sent by email to the journal's address, in word format or another compatible with Windows.
  3. Each work must include, on a separate page, a summary of it no longer than 200 words and the keywords that the author considers appropriate. The abstract will be sent in the language in which the article is written and also translated into English.
  4. All pages must be numbered, including bibliography, graphs, tables, etc.
  5. Illustrations and musical examples must be included in the text and also be sent separately in jpg format. They will be duly numbered and accompanied by their corresponding legend or caption for their identification, also indicating their approximate place in the text.
  6. Permissions to publish any type of image or documentation must have been previously requested and granted to the author, who will assume the civil responsibilities that may arise in case of improper use of the published image or documentation.
  7. On a separate page, the name of the author, his address, the institution where he works and the position he holds, as well as the telephone number, electronic address and postal address must be included.
  8. Proofreading will be done by checking the original, without correcting the style used by the authors. Significant variations or additions to the text will not be accepted.

JUDGMENT PROCESS

  1. The reception of a work does not imply any publication commitment on the part of ITAMAR. The Scientific Council will proceed to the selection of the works in accordance with the formal and content criteria of this publication.
  2. The originals will be submitted to external evaluation by specialists in the field. Subsequently, the Editorial Board will decide whether or not to publish it, notifying the authors.
  3. Originals received will not be returned.
  4. The authors of works, requested or not expressly requested, that are published, will not receive any financial compensation.
