Abstract

Within the framework of the War of Succession, the propaganda and military intervention of the Valencians most closely related to Charles III was key to the expansion of austriacism in the Valencian Country. One of them, Francesc d’Àvila, is the protagonist of a service relation in which he demanded a better consideration given the merits that demonstrated his loyalty to the house of Austria. The edition of the text with philological criteria is a starting point to review the bibliography following the works in which the colonel claims to have participated. Also, allows to learn with contemporary eyes the literary value of printed egodocuments during the Modern Age.
