Abstract

This paper assesses the perception of police ethnic profiling situations and its evolution from 2013 to the present. The parameters of procedural justice theory are used: disproportion, effectiveness, treatment and the impact on legitimacy, trust and cooperation. The report published in 2013 stated that there was discriminatory treatment because there was a high disproportionality towards certain minority groups on the basis of their nationality and ethnic appearance. Migrants and ethnic minorities are more likely to be stopped than the rest of the population.
