This article reviews, firstly, the factors that have contributed to the sudden increase in immigration from Bulgaria and Romania. Secondly, it examines the geographic distribution at regional, provincial and municipal levels, which reveal some territorial specialization by nationality. Thirdly it considers migration flows, both directly from abroad and internal movements, which are closely related to the spatial distribution.Downloads
