El primer mapa impreso conocido del País Valenciano (Örtel, Theatrum Orbis Terrarum, 1584) es anónimo, pero hay sólidos indicios para atribuirlo a Jeroni Munyòs y relacionarlo con una preocupación bélica. La hipótesis se apoya en la presencia de las 27 torres vigía litorales, en unos círculos de puntos que coinciden con poblamiento morisco y en la representación gráfica o toponímica de puntos "calientes" o peligrosos.Downloads
