A.J. Cavanilles en las Observaciones del antiguo Reino de Valencia menciona a las mujeres con bastante frecuencia. Habla de ellas como colectivo, para referirse a sus ocupaciones en los hogares campesinos. Las palabras del autor reflejan no sólo su pensamiento, sino las contradicciones de la época: la relevancia del trabajo femenino y su subordinación genérica; la mentalidad tradicional frente al discurso liberal de la Ilustración.Downloads
