The musical teachings are being studied and analyzed by musicians, psychologists and pedagogues from all over the world, and there are several fields that allow focusing and framing the perceptual and psychomotor problems characteristic of the different musical learning. The themes of the identification of talents and aptitudes, as well as those related to vocational guidance and preparation for professional life, focused with excellence criteria, deserve special attention given the increasing demands of contemporary musical life. Within these problems, general training - as a measure of personal fulfillment, occupation of free time and training of knowledgeable and discerning publics - also draws the systematic attention of many researchers. This paper will approach these fields and will address specific contributions to professional and general musical education.
