Abstract

This article presents some ideas about the music that, during my years of teaching, I have been particularly interested and have led me to reflect on the meaning of music education in my immediate environment. It is not intended to offer, therefore, a vision about music as science and art, but simply pick up aspects that have seemed relevant to me in the continuous re-elaboration of my didactic music classes. Consequently, it reflects on music and its relation to education, and deliberately refuses to address other philosophical, ethical, aesthetic, or other questions of musical fact.
