Technological Resources Applicable to the Reading and Transcription of Braille Musical Scores

This article examines the technological resources applied to the transcription and reading of music in the Braille system. In order to do so, it conducts a description of the main software programs employed in Braille music publication as well as the tools used to generate automatic transcription from an ink score. It also point out some educational benefits of these technologies and the more suitable file formats for sharing scores are evaluated.
