Kant y la melancolía: topografía de un fenómeno liminal

En este artículo elaboraremos una definición kantiana de melancolía a partir de las descripciones planteadas a ambos lados del giro crítico. Este análisis nos permite asimismo reparar en aspectos importantes del pensamiento kantiano, tales como la relación entre la razón y las afecciones o el modo en que se constituye la experiencia del mundo. Subrayamos el carácter liminal de la melancolía, que Kant presenta como una afección del alma pero también como un temperamento próximo a la experiencia de lo sublime y a la moral. Estos vínculos, particularmente con lo sublime, aportan interesantes claves acerca de la relación propuesta por Kant entre la subjetividad y el límite.
