RIASSUNTO

Lo studio intende fornire il quadro di riferimento della geografia della queste di Artù in uno dei romanzi più diffusi nell’Europa tardo medievale, Olivieri di Castiglia. Il raffronto dei dati geografici del romanzo nella sua versione italiana, francese e spagnola mettono in evidenza non solo il modo diverso con cui ciascun autore percepisce lo spazio della queste, ma anche il diverso modo di narrarlo. La geografia è così importante nelle narrazioni cavalleresche da risultare un motivo fondante.

ABSTRACT

The study aims to provide the relevant geographical reference framework of the geography of Arthur in one of the most popular novel written in the late medieval Europe, Olivieri of Castile. The comparison of the geographic data of the novel in its Italian, French and Spanish version highlighting not only the different way in which each author perceives the space, but also the different way to narrate it. Geography is so important in knightly narratives as to be a fundamental narrative motive.
