Plataformas digitales y formas de resistencia en la subjetividad precaria. Una investigación sobre la movilización de los riders de Foodora en Turín

Abstract

Este artículo se interesa por el debate sobre el platform capitalism y sobre los modelos laborales que caracterizan a las plataformas digitales. En particular, nuestra atención se centra en cómo cambia la relación de los individuos con su trabajo en el marco de sus experiencias en estos trabajos enmarcados en espacios virtuales reterritorializados. Ponemos el foco, por un lado, en cómo los trabajadores afrontan las exigencias de flexibilidad y disponibilidad que solicita la empresa y, por el otro, las formas de control a las que se les somete y los conflictos que ello provoca; las formas en que el trabajo en plataforma genera actividades no pagadas; los mecanismos mediante los cuales en las aplicaciones y plataformas se transforman las condiciones de trabajo y la subjetividad de los trabajadores; finalmente, las expresiones de resistencia de la comunidad de trabajadores. En el artículo, se analiza el caso de Foodora, una empresa plataforma dedicada a la entrega de comida a domicilio por parte de riders en bicicleta gestionados a través de una aplicación informática propiedad de la empresa. La investigación se ha realizado mediante un proceso de coinvestigación en la cual se han realizado focus group y entrevistas en profundidad con lo jóvenes trabajadores riders. Ello ha dado como resultado una interesante experiencia de autoorganización, conflicto y negociación en el otoño de 2016.
