FOCUS AND SCOPE

  • Caplletra is an international journal of philology dedicated to the publication of original research papers on aspects related to language and literature, with a particular focus on the field of Catalan philology.

  • Caplletra is edited and published by the Institut Interuniversitari de Filologia Valenciana.

  • Caplletra has an Editorial Board comprising an Reviewing Board and a Scientific Committee.

  • Caplletra accepts only original research papers that have not been previously published elsewhere in any form or language.

  • Articles received by Caplletra undergo a strictly anonymous double-blind peer review process. The reviewers are researchers external to both the Editorial Board and the Institut Interuniversitari de Filologia Valenciana, the journal's publisher.

  • More than 80% of articles published by Caplletra are written by authors outside the Institut Interuniversitari de Valenciana and the Reviewing Board of the journal.

  • Every issue of Caplletra includes a miscellaneous section, a monographic section and a review section.

  • Caplletra has been issued on a consistent biannual basis since its launch in 1986.

  • The Caplletra editorial team carefully monitors and adheres to a series of ethical and technical protocols in regard to the system of reviewing and publishing in order to avoid any possible malpractice.

  • Caplletra is indexed in platforms for the assessment, identification and/or impact of scientific journals, open access journals search engines, periodicals directories, libraries and networks and collective catalogues.
