Caplletra is an international journal of philology dedicated to the publication of original research papers on aspects related to language and literature, with a particular focus on the field of Catalan philology. Established in 1986, this publication is aimed toward any specialist in these fields and is published on an uninterrupted biannual basis, every spring and autumn.

- Articles received by Caplletra undergo a strictly anonymous double-blind peer review process. The reviewers are researchers external to both the Editorial Board and the Institut Interuniversitari de Filologia Valenciana, the journal's publisher.
- More than 80% of articles published by Caplletra are written by authors outside the Institut Interuniversitari de Valenciana and the Reviewing Board of the journal.
- Every issue of Caplletra includes a miscellaneous section, a monographic section and a review section.
