Peer review process
Reception of original articles is permanent. The Miscellaneous section is not subject to call dates.
Papers will be submitted through the journal's OJS platform, upon registration of the authors.
In case of joint authorship, only one person will be responsible for correspondence. However, it is recommended that all co-authors register on the platform.
After receiving the manuscript, the editorial team will make a first reading to check if the article is in accordance with the editorial line and stylistic guidelines of the journal (see the document “editorial guidelines for authors”), and may reject it if it does not comply with these guidelines. The author will be notified of the committee's decision within two weeks.
Once the editorial staff of Diablotexto Digital has reviewed the article and considers that it meets the editorial line of the journal, it is submitted anonymously to the consideration of two external reviewers, who are selected by the editors according to the area of specialization of the article.
The reviewers must send their reports to the editorial team within four weeks, with the recommendation to publish the article without modifications, to publish it with modifications or not to publish it. The reports are sent to the author within eight weeks, and the author must send the article back with the required modifications, if any, no later than three weeks after receiving the reports.
In case of significant discrepancy between the two reviewers, a third reviewer will be consulted. In cases of minor discrepancy or if further evaluation is needed after the initial review, the editors will make the appropriate decision after consulting with the editorial board. Diablotexto Digital guarantees anonymity of both authors and reviewers. For the deontological aspects and the right and duties of the parties involved in the publication's process, please see the journal's Code of Ethics.
