Abstract

The present article proposes a practical application of the Third Culture Construction Theory by Fred L. Casmir and Nobleza Asunción-Lande to a very specific case such as the marriage between a child of war, Manuel Arce, and his wife María Sánchez Puig, a Spaniard born in the Soviet Union from exiled parents. In order to do so, we will first study these two authors’ approach and then apply their theoretical model to our object of study in order to illustrate, with the testimonies of both, how they have configured such third culture that includes elements which are both Russian and Spanish.
