This article is framed within the context of the study of the exhumation processes of those known by the dictatorship as “Fallen for God and for Spain”, and within this framework, it delves into one of the judicial practices carried out by the “Causa General”, the “declarations”. In these, it has been possible to appreciate a clear action of the judicial agents, as perpetrators, which allows us to understand the mechanisms of coercion over their own “victims”. In this way, we can analyse from within the process, how the martyrdom narrative was constructed through mechanisms of violence and how the dictatorship constructed its image of the “victim”.
