Ethics Policy

The editors, the Editorial Board and the Scientific Committee of the journal are committed to the scientific community to ensure the ethics and quality of the articles published. For this reason, the journal will adhere to the Code of Conduct and Good Practice, established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), which sets out the Principles of transparency and good practice in scientific publications and the ways of proceeding in the event that these are not respected. On the other hand, our Estudis Filologics i de Traducció journal will protect the content of the studies published. The Editorial Committee is committed, at all times, to transparency in the publication of corrections, clarifications, retractions and apologies if the situation so requires.

In accordance with these practices and principles, our journal will publish on its website the procedure followed for the selection of articles. The evaluation criteria to be issued by external evaluators will be based on the scientific relevance of the contribution to the advancement of knowledge in the specific area: originality, clarity and adequacy of the research method. Our journal will also guarantee the confidentiality of the evaluation process, which includes the anonymity of the evaluators and authors, the evaluated content, the report issued by the evaluators and any other communication issued by the Editorial Committee.

Plagiarism is, of course, a fraudulent practice and is strictly forbidden. Texts identified as plagiarised will be removed from the journal. By accepting the conditions of publication expressed by our journal, authors declare that the article and associated materials are original and do not infringe copyright law. Furthermore, they also declare, in the case of shared authorship, that there was full consensus of all authors concerned and that the work has not been previously submitted or published elsewhere.
