This communication is intended to expose the experience of a didactic unit carried out in the elementary violin grade classroom. The subject deals with one of the major problems with students who begin the study of string and bow instruments, in this case the violin, and is to locate the sounds in the tuning fork of the instrument with an accurate tuning. The violin, unlike tempered instruments, like the piano does not have a fixed place that indicates where exactly the finger should be placed to produce a certain sound. The student places his hand in the first position where the fingers have an approximate place to execute the sounds, but from the approximate to the exact the student has to be guided by his best or worst musical ear.
