Author Biographies

Leo Cherri, Universidad Nacional de Tres de Febrero

Leo Cherri holds a PhD from the University of Buenos Aires with a thesis on the relationship between writing and image in the work of Mario Bellatin. He is a Professor in the Master’s Program in Latin American Literary Studies at the Universidad Nacional de Tres de Febrero. At the same institution he is Coordinator of the Program of Contemporary and Comparative Latin American Studies (PELCC), and Editor of the magazine Chuy . In collaboration with other colleagues he has coordinated dossiers ( Landa, Eu-topías ) and edited books such as Saberes Subalternos (EDUNTREF, 2019), Mario Bellatin: literatura y margen (EDUNTREF, 2023), Archivar, anarchivar, desarchivar. Memoria y estrategia (Tirant, 2023). He was invited by the University of Olomouc (Czech Republic) to participate in the design of the international project Archives in Transition: Collective Memories and Subaltern Uses (2020-2025), which received funding from the Marie Curie Association of the European Union (872299), and in which he currently serves as Data Management Officer.

Mariano López Seoane, Universidad Nacional de Tres de Febrero

Mariano López Seoane is a writer, professor and researcher at the Universidad Nacional de Tres de Febrero. He currently directs the Master’s Program in Gender Studies and Policies at that university, where he teaches courses in queer studies and queer theory, visual arts, and literature. He is also a professor of Latin American studies at New York University (NYU). He also works as a critic, curator and translator specialized in theory. He has curated exhibitions and coordinated public programs at the MUNTREF Contemporary Art Center, ISLAA, MALBA, the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, the Buenos Aires International Book Fair, and the international program Art Basel Cities. His articles on art, literature, cinema, theater and cultural policies have appeared in books and in national and international academic and journalistic media. He is editor of the volumes Los mil pequeños sexos (EDUNTREF, 2019) and Saberes subalternos (EDUNTREF, 2019), and autor of Donde está el peligro. Estéticas de la disidencia sexual (Beatriz Viterbo, 2023).
