This article analyzes Mercè Rodoreda’s short narrative under autobiographical criticism point of view. It deals with some of her more representative tales, and it is structured in two parts. The first offers a brief sample of Rodoreda’s short fiction style, and also a basic approach to autobiographical writing main theories and controversies. The second part analyzes Rodoreda’s best tales regarding the personal, intimate footprint of the author.
