Abstract

We analyse the prominence acquired by the translators of the Junta de Libros -a bio-bibliography elaborated by Tomás Tamayo de Vargas in the first third of the XVIIth century, and source for the Nicolás Antonio Bibliotheca Hispana Nova- from which there have had the transmission in subsequent scientific and bibliographical studies. Joined to the biographic contribution of the three translations of technical and scientific works to Spanish language, published in XVIth century, we have decribed these works and offered its post-antonian bibliographic tradition in general and specialized repertoires, and informed about the valuable documental testimonies. Finally, we examine several passages of these books by comparing them with de original text.
