Peer Review Process
Peer Review Process
- The article review process for each volume of the journal is managed by the EFIT Editorial Board.
- Articles must be original research of scientific quality. They will be submitted to a peer review process (double-blind), by external reviewers proposed by the editors of the volume, according to their area of expertise.
- The reviewers will issue an evaluation report provided by the Editorial Board.
- All articles must conform to EFIT's editing guidelines.
- Once the review process has been completed, the Editorial Board will inform the authors in writing of the final reasoned decision, and will send them the expert opinions in order to make the appropriate changes (if necessary).
- As stated in the guidelines, negative evaluation of the article by the two reviewers will result in the article not being published in the volume.
- In the event of a discrepancy between the reviewers, the Editorial Board will send the original to a third reviewer, who may be a member of the Scientific Committee or the Editorial Committee (or any other proposed specialist).

History of the journal
Our journal focusing on philological and translation studies was born in 2019, the result of the enthusiasm of a group of PhD students at the Universitat de València, among them Dr. Beatriz Reverter Oliver and Pedro Fernández Requena, with the kind help of Dr. Sergio Maruenda-Bataller. The main objective was always the creation of a warm space for the fostering and dissemination of research among young researchers: mainly Master's students and Doctoral students who are just starting their academic career.
The journal is directed by Sara Llopis-Mestre and María López Rubio, and counts with a Scientific Committee made up of external specialists of international scope with no institutional links to the journal. The journal also has an Editorial Committee made up of members from all the departments of the Facultat de Filologia, Traducció i Comunicació.
The main objective of EFIT is the publication of consecutive issues of a multidisciplinary nature, edited by PhD students or young researchers in Philology, Translation and Audiovisual Communication. It is published online in order to ensure wider dissemination. This publication is linked to the Faculty of Philology, Translation and Communication of the University of Valencia in the open access journal domain (OJS).
The volumes comply with the ANECA criteria on the quality of scientific journals. The percentage of research articles exceeds 80% and they report original research results. On the other hand, more than 80 % of the authors are external to the Editorial Committee and the journal organisation. Moreover, the publication proposals received are reviewed and reported by two external reviewers, following the double-blind peer-review system.
