Resum

S'han dedicat molts estudis a investigar la tipologia de funcions que exerceixen les i els intèrprets en representar i defendre poblacions vulnerables, però la vulnerabilitat de qui interpreta en aquest tipus d'entorns, com també la gènesi d’aquesta vulnerabilitat, són qüestions que s’han atès rarament. En aquest estudi, s'entén la interpretació per a poblacions vulnerables com un context comunicatiu específic en què s'entremesclen polítiques institucionals, d'informació i de poder, la qual cosa suscita judicis morals sobre el deure de cura en els quals es barregen emocions, subtileses i subjectivitats. Partint de teories procedents dels estudis sobre vulnerabilitat i de conceptes relatius a la moral, l'autora aplica un mètode fenomenològic interpretatiu a l'estudi de tres intèrprets de serveis públics, en el qual analitza els factors clau que influeixen en la vulnerabilitat contextual, els efectes adversos de l'angoixa moral que aquesta els provoca i la manera d'observar des d'una altra òptica el codi ètic de la interpretació per a poblacions vulnerables. Aquest és el primer treball de recerca que teoritza sobre la vulnerabilitat de les i els intèrprets de serveis públics en funció del context, així com sobre la manera com la interdependència entre els diferents aspectes de la vulnerabilitat i els conceptes morals influeixen en les decisions de les persones que interpreten.
