Abstract

This article presents a summary of the role of vocational training in the training and employment pathways of young people. This role is given by the legal framework, which have changed substantially since the 70's, and the strategies and practices of young people according to the different possibilities that educational system offers. The article also points out some challenges for education policy in the field of vocational training.
