In a moment in which the bases of our economic system are being questioned and in spite of the importance that the economic context has in the change towards a new international order, the education has been and continues being at present a key factor in the overcoming of the present crisis. For this reason it is fundamental that the sociology of the education is able to exhibit the key paper of the education in the overcoming of the present crisis and success experiences appear. Only in this way the sociology of the education will be able to fulfill its social utility in a moment of crisis as the current one. In this article the incapacity of the sociology of the education based on the model of the reproduction is shown to offer alternatives that help to surpass the crisis from the education and how another sociology of the education exists based on a dual and transforming perspective that generates experiences and practices of educative success.
