The article has two parts. The first part is a comprehensive compilation of literary works in history about old age with the aim of examining how it has been considered in the European literary tradition and establishing parallelisms and differences with Reflexions de la vellesa. The second part focuses on Anna Murià’s posthumous diary, an intimate reflection on old age through her own experience and perspective, which makes it a unique sample.
