Migrarte Ciencia y arte visual, un diálogo identitario bilateral

Resumen

El arte, la ciencia y el fenómeno migratorio son parte del cotidiano mundo que nos ha tocado vivir. No obstante a sus militarizadas fronteras y regímenes de control poblacional, el mundo globalizado que habitamos hoy, nos dispone de muchas herramientas para migrar de un país a otro, o de un sitio cibernético a otro, lo que se constituye como un elemento más de la identidad del creador. Este artículo aborda en primera instancia, el arte visual que se ha desarrollado en los últimos años y qué aporta al entendimiento identitario del fenómeno migratorio de sur a norte. Tal es el caso de la obra “Latino/a América” y de cómo el arte, en ese sentido, se constituye como un puente para la construcción dialógica entre artistas y comunidades migrantes. En un segundo momento, se señala la necesidad de crear espacios de comunicación entre artistas, científicos y legos, que permitan el intercambio de ideas -sean del mundo del arte o de la ciencia- para la resolución o abordaje de problemas comunes. Con la intención de que se desarrollen espacios integradores que permitan la migración de ideas y de saberes.

Abstract

Art, Science and migration are avital part of the world we live in. In spite of its militarized borders and population control regimes, our current era of globalization has changed the way we live by giving us different ways and means of moving not only physically among countries,but also virtually in cyberspace. This constitutes today an integral part of the artistic identity of the creator.The first approach in the present communication will be the artistic heritage in visual arts, which has recently contributed to the understanding of identities in south to north migrations. Such is the case of the work “Latino/a America”, which among many others, contributes to the construction of a dialogic bridge among artists and migrant communities. The second approach will argue the impending need to establish communication among artists, scientists and the general public, which must allow the exchange of ideas in order to find solutions to common problems. The main goal is to generate projects that can unite migrating ideas and knowledge.
