Pour une édition critique de la partie ‘espagnol-français’ du Tesoro de las dos lenguas española y francesa de César Oudin (éd. princeps : 1607)

Abstract

This article presents the results of recent research on the Tesoro de las dos lenguas española y francesa  , the bilingual dictionary by César Oudin, the famous French Hispanist of the 17th century. After studying the contents of the different editions of this dictionary, published between 1607 and 1675, we will show the importance that the creation of such a modern critical edition of this masterpiece of lexicography represents. This edition’s particularity allows us to combine in a single reading the successive textual stages of the Tesoro... Once we have demonstrated the norms of this edition, we will suggest an outline for the future publication based on a sample of words included between the letters A and Ad– of this dictionary.
