Sobre algunos recursos fónicos del español y su proyección sociopragmática: atenuación y cortesía en la conversación coloquial

This paper shows that mitigation and politeness are usually expressed by means of phonetic segmental and suprasegmental resources in ordinary conversation. We suggest that the linguistic level of prosody must be taken into account in order to analyze the functions of the effects of politeness in ordinary conversation.
