This article aims to study the trajectory of Violette Leduc using an approach that combines literature, gender studies, and sociology of literature. It explores the reasons for Violette Leduc’s multiplied marginality, as a peripheral author of the mid-20th century, born illegitimate, woman and lesbian, to better analyse her trajectory within the literary and institutional landscape of her time and of the present. Leduc encountered certain limitations in her journey as an author, and her recognition by literary institutions remained and remains partial.
