Abstract

In Spain the impact of the crisis on the labor market is questioning the promises given by the educational system regarding the performance of the titles.

In other work we have shown the correlation between having a higher educational level and be better protected underemployment and relative deprivation (Fruits and Solano, 2013).  The proposed objective is to understand the differences and inequalities in two generations (those born in the era of Development and Transition) compared at two points (2005 and 2010), taking as reference the social structure and key variables, such as the gender, age, human capital and occupation, without forgetting the socio-historical context and following the methodology of inspired Guio, Fusco and Eurostat, in order to determine the degree of protection of education in both, from ECV and EPA.
