The article shows an analysis of the educational policies carried out in the Community of Madrid during the last decade, through the lens of global privatization of educational services. Even though the different measures developed in this Community didn’t have privatization as a clear and stated goal, some of its features are aligned with distinctive privatization of education performances. In the second part of the article some concrete actions are detailed and assessed as representatives of the educational policies of the Community Madrid, according to the three basic dimensions of privatization discussed in the first part of the article: the relative replacement of public agents by private agents, the greater influence of the families on institutional education and the relative replacement of public schools by private schools.
