From the perspective of perpetrators and using the definition of postmemory I expose two forms of cultural representation that coexist in the spanish literature related to the Civil War and Francoism. On the one hand the culture of honour in El monarca de las sombras, that is written from an emotional perspective to give a sense to the family story by justifying the grandfather as francoist. On the other hand, the culture of victimhood in Entre hienas, that is written from an ethical perspective by paying tribute to the victims and which plot reveals the implication of the grandfather with the Nazis and Franco’s regime.
