Abstract

This article analyzes the concept of Europe as discourse through what is called European Mode of Representation (EMR), characterized, among other factors, by the negation of the transparency effect of representation, the staging of discursive structures or rhetorical forms, and by the estab- lishment of a specific link between the poetic and the political.
