This monograph of Quaderns de Filologia: Estudis Lingüístics 16 comprises a selection of articles that show the interests and perspectives offered by the new didactic postulates of written expression, among which we highlight those of thematic, discursive and technological character. These, needless to say, must have a privileged position in our current university curricula designs.
From this premise, we understand that this communicative challenge must take on board the new methodological resources catered by language teaching: L1, L2, SFL (Spanish as a Foreign Language), ESP/EAP (English for Specific Purposes/English for Academic Purposes), WAP (Writing for Academic Purposes), etc. and, of course, must be implemented with the current multimedia fotmats provided by ICTs in the academic and professional fields. All this without leaving aside the ever-changing media texts and current literary proposals.
