This paper analyses the so-called presentational structure in several Romance languages (It. c’è, sp. hay, Fr. il y a, etc.). the study is based on the assumptions of typological linguistics and shows that romance languages, starting from common resources (verbs, latin advebs), have developed the presentational structure in diverse ways. both Medieval and contemporary usages of romance languages have been considered.
