Abstract

The new social context of postmodern societies has meant important changes in productive sphere, in social structure, in family and gender relations, which have been modified so complex social phenomena as juvenile delinquency. The emergence of a new profile of teenagers in conflict with law not linked to contexts of marginalization and exclusion, is a symptom of these changes. In this article, we present an investigation of the characteristics of teenagers in conflict with law in Burjassot (Valencia), to analyze the profile or profiles of theses teenagers and the changes which have occurred in them.
