Abstract

From the differentiation of the categories of relevancy and pertinence I´ll try to contemplate the diverse and sometimes contradictory ways of naming what recounts to offers divergently of scientific politics for the university.

The above mentioned perspectives coincide with the perception it brings over of an imminent need to re-formulate the sense of the university and across his statement to identify new ways of conceiving why of the research in the university today.

From a preliminary research realized across the fieldwork grupal seek to identify the different visions and missions that the directors and project assessors of investigation as well as of academic authorities, assume for the public Argentine university, across the investigation it brings over of the pertinent thing and the relevant thing as for university investigation from the point of view of his mention and the meaning that this one assumes, his reflection in the regulation as well as his translation in the shape of priorities.
