Blas de Otero, Cuba, Exile, Prose PoemAbstract
The last exile of the poet Blas de Otero in Cuba in the 1960s is part of the journey prior to his return to Franco's Spain until his death in 1979. Living in Havana, the Basque poet actively participates in local magazines and politics, in an atmosphere of revolutionary fervor after the 1959 Revolution of Che Guevara and Fidel Castro. Financed by the Communist Party of Spain (PCE), Blas de Otero adopts a new way of writing his poetry, the prose poem. Understanding the relationship between exile and this form will be the task of this article with the analysis of the poem "La Calor".
