Abstract
The text is based on a comparative analysis between The Mandrake (1911) by H. H. Ewers, one of the most outstanding fantastic stories, and the film adaptation by Henrik Galeen in 1927. Point of departure for the study of the figure of the vegetable woman from Mythology to the comic.
