Martí i Pol, illness in a book of poemsAbstract
This work analyses the repercussion of the suffering of multiple sclerosis on the Catalan poet Miquel Martí i Pol since 1970, and the consequences it has both on his literary evolution and on his work, giving rise to his second creative period. The analysis is particularly focused on the theoretical meditations about the treatment of the illness the author makes in his book of poems called Twenty-seven poems in three times . The book, written between 1970 and 1971 and published in 1972, is characterized by a new range of subjects, a collapsing universe derived from them and by the presence of some literary images which are recurrent all along the poems.
