Abstract

It is likely that the educational practice of teachers is influenced in part by social representations, in a social context in which the global and the local interacting, multiple factors influencing life. We think that representations can guide the educational action of teachers, helping to establish a coherent framework on which to plan their practice. This paper carries out an approach to the concept of representations and consideration of factors that appear in the educational discourse, related to their function and practice in the classroom. For it is carried out an analysis of groups of investigation prior to the current discussion, along with the first exploration of a discussion group made today, as a pilot group.
