Feminist perspectives and gender socialization, co-education, empowerment, performance of educational qualifications in the labor market for women and men in Spain through indicators.Abstract
Feminism has been an epistemological renewal and a political criticism about the social relations of domination/subordination between men and women. This issue still goes unnoticed ecause it is learnt during the socialization process and make the differences in gender roles appear as something natural. From a gender perspective, the aim of this paper is to carry out an approach to education and employment reality of women and men in Spain through indicators developed on secondary sources (Statistics Education and Labour Force Survey, INE). The analysis reveals that fewer women than men leave the education system; women study harder and do better than men but stillface more difficulties than they do in the labour market.
